HOT TOPIC:

SHOULD STUDENTS BE PULLED OUT OF CLASS FOR AN INSTRUMENT SPECIFIC LESSON?

THE RESEARCH is clear that these students not only keep up with peers who do not get pulled from class, but it isn't uncommon for them to exceed in achievement.  I have yet to see any actual, legitimate research stating otherwise.  Here are some studies to get you started:

  1. Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (link)

  2. SAGE Journals (link)

  3. A collection and comparison of several studies put together by ASTA (link)

  4. Andrews University Study (pdf)
